If you want a room with a view then look no further than Ladera in St Lucia.

Ladera is the only resort in St.Lucia located on the UNESCO World Heritage Site, overlooking the Pitons and the Caribbean Sea and is located on the Soufriere Volcano.

Taking full advantage of its natural surroundings, Ladera offers a unique eco-friendly design in guest accommodation.   The 32 suites all have an ‘open wall’ – the west side of each accommodation is left open to expose the breathtaking views of the Pitons and the Caribbean Sea.

Each suite has its own plunge pool and the orientation of the resort offers each suite complete privacy.   Ladera is very authentic with the suites being constructed of tropical hardwoods, stone and tile and are decorated with local artwork.   All the furniture is made on site by St Lucian artisans.   You can visit our wood workshop and get something handcrafted for you to take home as a souvenir.

The Suites are all fully equipped and include mini bar with coffee and tea facilities, robes, Complimentary High Speed Wi-Fi, and Ladera’s Necessaire Kit (binoculars, eye masks, slippers and a star chart for night sky enjoyment). Portable DVD players are available for in-room movie viewing upon request.

The open-air dining at Dasheene’s restaurant and bar features breathtaking vistas of the rainforest, the dramatic Piton peaks and the Caribbean Sea below.   This award winning restaurant offers a St Lucian culinary experience where breakfast, lunch and dinner are prepared with local organic ingredients.   Dasheene restaurant’s full menu is available at the main pool.   Cocktails can be enjoyed in the open air lounge where the best local bands perform live every evening.

If you fancy a Spa treatment or two – the Spa at Ladera features indulgent treatments inspired by Saint Lucia’s volcanic history and the lush rainforest that surrounds this peaceful retreat.

The Spa offers four serene treatment rooms – all in keeping with the same intimate design and scale of Ladera’s suites.

Visit the spa for a treatment to ready yourself for the day ahead, or select another to unwind after a day of play. The choice is yours. To make your spa experience truly memorable, you can have your selected spa treatment in the comfort and privacy of your suite or villa.

Relax pre-treatment or at any time during your stay, in the hot soaking tubs located in the serenity of our spa gardens.   Or why not take your massage outdoors; select any one of the massages and book it as an Outdoor Massage. This indulgent version of the in-spa massages pampers you outdoors on site of our beautiful Paradise Ridge overlooking the majestic pitons.   And if you have indulged too much in the fine St Lucian fare make the most of your time at the spa by using the Garden Gym for your workouts.

For those of you who would like to spend time on a white sandy St Lucian beach there is a complimentary scheduled beach shuttle bus that runs throughout the day, with complimentary beach towels and snorkelling equipment provided.

There are plenty of activities to keep you busy whilst on this beautiful island, you can take part in wine tasting classes, cookery classes and mixology classes at Ladera or if you want to explore St Lucia there are so many things to see and do.

Saint Lucia is a place that has it all, so that means that you can do it all. Whether you want adventures like scenic helicopter excursions, mountain-biking, exhilarating all terrain vehicle rides or you want to go horseback riding on a stunning beach, it’s all here!

You can take hike or a tram ride through the rain forest, go bird watching, go turtle watching, visit the Diamond Falls – Botanical Gardens & Mineral Baths or Sulphur Springs.   Take part in one of the Rhythm of Rum Tours that will involve tasting a tipple or two.

You can also take a trip to Pigeon Island.   Pigeon Island National Landmark is a 40-acre park that retraces the many historical legends of Saint Lucia, showcases the local wildlife, and is surrounded by fantastic seascapes. It is in fact heralded as a “living museum”. Once an islet just of the north western shores of Saint Lucia, Pigeon Island has been connected to the main island via a causeway since the 1970’s. Visitors to the park are free to amble, at their own pace, among the remnants of Admiral Rodney’s naval base, take a refreshing dip at one of the cosy coves, walk along the perimeter to the remains of a legendary pirate’s cave or hike to the heights of the fort to gape at the spectacular 360 degree view. Pigeon Island has had over the years many different and interesting uses however it’s most impressive role   was that of a naval lookout espying towards the French stronghold at Martinique just some 20 miles to the north. This vigilance led to the British victory at the “Battle of the Saints”, known as the most importance naval battle ever waged in the Caribbean.
